Did you know you can do a bit of good every time you search the web? It’s true!

Here are 15 search engines that do good while you search. Whether it is by planting trees, supporting NGOs, or donating funds or even providing clean water, you can do this without disrupting your routine. Whether you’re in to choosing search engines for social good, or searching for a cause or searching to donate then you’ve come to the right place.

A French search-engine that supports eco-friendly NGOs for free!

Ecogine.org is an associative search engine whose profits are donated to environmental associations chosen by the vote of Internet users. The name “Ecogine” is the contraction of “ecological search engine”.  The difference is that for every search done on Ecogine, Google France donates money to Ecogine.org.

 


Ecosia
You search, they plant a tree!

Billed as the search engine that plants trees, Ecosia does just that! Ecosia has a mission to plant more than a billion trees all around the globe (including Morocco and Sudan) by raising money through advertising revenue. When you click on a paid advertiser’s link, Ecosia receives payment.

You get to help the planet just by searching and surfing the web!
