Ryada which means “Pioneer” in Arabic provides microfinance services to low and moderate-income people to support them start or developed their own businesses, improve their living conditions and help them buying their consumables. Ryada targeting West Bank and Gaza and focus on people who cannot access credit from commercial banking institutions. Ryada began in the Gaza Strip in 1995 providing loans for home improvement. Over the years it has expanded its outreach to the West Bank and its product line to include business and consumer loans. Today Ryada is one of the largest microfinance providers in the West Bank and Gaza. 2011 witnessed some major accomplishments for Ryada through achieving the Lowest Portfolio at Risk percentage reaching to (1.8% ) when compared to other Palestinian microfinance institutions ;Gaining the first position for the best portfolio quality in Palestine, reaching 12.3m$ Value of loans disbursed during the year , 98% Repayment rate, and reaching 15% Portfolio growth. Ryada and CHF international will register Ryada as an independent for-profit company in 2012 and aim to double its portfolio through new investment and expanded outreach. Ryada is seeking investors who are committed to this vision.
