The Microfinance Department endeavors to improve the quality of life of small business owners and micro-entrepreneurs, sustain jobs, decrease unemployment, reduce poverty, empower women and provide income-generating opportunities to Palestine refugees, and other proximate poor and marginal groups through the provision of credit. As the program strives to provide sustainable credit in a cost-effective manner, it concentrates its financial services in poorer urban areas, which are centers of commercial and industrial activity with a highly localized density of Palestine refugees.
