Touensa The association was born January 12, 2011 on the initiative of citizens of diverse backgrounds and faiths wanting to contribute effectively to the establishment of a democratic process in Tunisia. Following the fall of the Ben Ali regime, the founders decided to strengthen the nascent civil society and get involved in the awakening citizen and institutional vigilance. Thus the association will work on the one hand to strengthen capacity of citizens through awareness campaigns and arousal and the other will be involved for better public governance by improving access to information and public participation in decision making.
