The Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST), (www.lostlb.org), was founded in 1998 to meet the educational and cultural needs of local civil society outside of the university setting, offering Bekaa Valley residents’ education lessons in English, computer skills and conflict management. LOST seeks to contribute to the social and economic development in traditional contexts by enhancing local capacities and participation to create an equitable society.
