SWAA International was born out of a conference in Stockholm, Sweden; where a few African women came together and recognized that in Africa, there was a need to focus on the NGO sector and women in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
SWAA Ghana was established in 1990 and has since then been actively involved in education and advocacy programs on HIV/AIDS.
SWAA is committed to reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and children in Africa.
