SFBD is a local NGO started by Yemeni volunteers in February 2017 working in the humanitarian, development and relief fields with INGOs in Yemen. Five months of preparation and planning before submitting official request to be registered officially in the Ministry of Social Affair according to the Yemen low. In July 2017 SFBD was registered officially in Yemen to participate in the humanitarian response in Yemen and development plan for future. SFBD founders have very good knowledge about the humanitarian, development and relief activities because they are working with INGOs since 2003. SFBD designed this proposal to increase the Food Security targeting in Hajja rural and Sharis districts at Hajja governorate. SFBD signed partnership agreement with VHI to implement the GFA project in Sharis, Hajja rural and Kuhlan Affar districts funded by WFP since July 2017. The expand plan took place since one year when SFBD heard about the ERRY program activities and achievements in Hajja and Hudayda during the FSAC Hudayda hub cluster meetings. SFBD submitted to VHI requests to expand the CFW activities to Sharis and Hajja rural districts in February 2018 and expected the interest to be implementing partner for CFW project in the mentioned districts but VHI informed us that ERRY targets specific districts selected by WFP and informed us to submit the request again to WFP directly maybe WFP can response if there is a chance. In the end of last month VHI told the local partners LNGOs that WFP called for proposals from the implementing partners to fund Resilience and Livelihood Activities. Then advised the interested LNGOs to try and submit any ready proposal to WFP directly. SFBD found that this is golden chance to submit this studded proposal after coordination with local authorities in the targeted districts and based on the previous information collected from the field and discussed with local authorities too. Many intervention requests submitted to VHI main office and sub-offices to expand VHI activities to new districts and governorates. SFBD availability in the targeted districts at Hajja governorate was one of the main reasons to select the targeted districts.

SFBD knows the targeted districts well and has good knowledge about conducting baseline survey for the targeted communities after the project start and the targeted communities nominated by the local authorities or right now if we received green light from WFP. The survey result and report will be shared with WFP, local authorities and FSAC cluster. SFBD will coordinate and share reports with FSAC national and sub-cluster.
