A non-profit national association was established in 2010 in Jordan, and is the first of its kind in the Arab world, as its organizers are people with psychological disabilities, and we are the first category in the Arab world that agrees that people with mental disorders are people with disabilities.

WHY PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?
Because we believe in the holistic definition of disability according to the social theory of disability that disability lies in environmental obstacles and behavioral barriers that impede a person's access to the set of rights and freedoms guaranteed by the human rights system and our reference in that is the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities ratified by Jordan, which considers mental disorders as a disability.

OUR MESSAGE
Changing the stereotype and raising awareness in society about the rights of persons with psychological disabilities, enhancing our participation in decision-making processes and developing our own capacities and the capabilities of other institutions in the field of rights and issues of persons with psychological disabilities.

OUR VISION
A society in which people with psychological disabilities exercise their full legitimate rights and freedoms away from all forms of abuse and discrimination.

OUR GOALS
• Advocating, gaining support and participating in the development of mental health policies and legislation that promote the rights of people with mental disabilities.
• Raising awareness of rights and combating stigma and social exclusion.
• Empowerment and development of personal abilities and skills for people with psychological disabilities and their integration into society so that they can actively participate in it.

OUR LOCAL & GLOBAL ACHIEVEMENTS
• Representatives and participants in the National Technical Committee for Mental Health in the Ministry of Health.
• Representatives and participants in the regional consultation for the development of the global plan for mental health.
• Part of the Tawafa2 campaign for the rights of persons with disabilities in Jordan.
• Participants in the consultative groups for drafts of the shadow report (civil society report) on the status of implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Jordan.
• Accredited to the shadow report (civil society report) on the status of implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Jordan.
• Participants and representatives in the second regional conference for women with disabilities in Cairo.
• Participants in the Leaders Program for International Visitors in raising awareness and defending human rights in the United States of America.
• Cooperation and coordination with Jordanian institutions and universities and finding partnership with them.
• Launching an annual booklet on 10/10 of each year that includes literary and artistic creations for people with psychological disabilities.
• Establishing social, cultural and recreational activities for people with psychological disabilities.
• Coordination of workshops and training courses to build capacities of persons with psychological disabilities.
• Organizing exhibitions to display handicraft and artistic products for people with psychological disabilities.
