Kuwait Medical Association was established in Kuwait on 10/23/1963 to be the first professional association in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which includes approximately 12,000 physicians, both men & women, working in the public and private sectors in Kuwait.

The Association's affairs are run by a board of directors of seven members elected by the members of the Association for a term of two years.
