We are a political foundation that is active nationwide. support our foreign offices worldwide more than 200 projects in over 120 countries. We are based in Sankt Augustin near Bonn and Berlin, where we have 1998 a new event hall, the academy opened.

Konrad Adenauer and his principles are guidelines, mission and obligation for us. The Foundation carries since 1964 the name of the first chancellor; she walked out the established in 1955 "Society for Christian Democratic Education Work" out.

Exhibitions, readings and complement our offer prices. We support young artists and give each year the prestigious KAS Literature Prize.We encourage young journalists in special projects. A separate local journalism prize we awarded since 1980. The "Prize Social Market Economy of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation" honors since 2002 personalities who fought for the preservation and development of the social market economy in an outstanding way.
