The mission of the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society is:
To work towards the development of local services available to individuals with Down Syndrome in the fields of health, psychology, education and social services.
To provide direct and indirect support to individuals with Down Syndrome, their parents and their families.
To promote public awareness of Down Syndrome in both the local and expatriate communities.
To create an information centre to support research and studies of issues related to Down Syndrome.
To identify and overcome obstacles in the education, rehabilitation and employment of youth with Down Syndrome.
To reinforce relationships with professional bodies, national clubs and schools for children with special needs.
