The Fondation El Kef for Regional Development ( FEKDR ) is a non-Governmental, non-profit organization active in north-west and central Tunisia. Operational goals include Improving the living conditions of Deprived of Individuals, environmental development and the advancement of international solidarity / co-development.

The EL Kef Foundation for Regional Development (FEKDR) is a non-profit institution. It has been operating in the field of development since 1985. Its mission is to promote local development in Tunisia and in particular in the northwest region.

Examples of projects implemented

National open heart program: Two hundred children from different parts of the country have benefited from this program since its inception in 1983.
Integrated rural school development project: The ELKEF Foundation has carried out this project in partnership with UNICEF-PaysBas, UNICEF Tunisia, the Ministry of Education-Tunisia, Holland College and the El Kef Foundation in Delfet. Activities include improving the infrastructure conditions in schools through lower-cost solutions, among other things, through community participation.
Reproductive health in gray areas in the Kef governorate: In collaboration with UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) and the Government of Luxembourg. Implementation began in September 2000 for a period of three years and is active in 11 shaded areas (disadvantaged areas) of the Kef governorate.
Project of Tunisian-Belgian cooperation in the shadow areas of the Kef governorate: This involves participation in the National Solidarity Fund (SNSF) program in four areas of the Kef Governorate; Rha, Lazouak, and ElGoll of the delegation of Sakiet Sidi Youssef and Bouhraoua of the delegation of Kaalet Snen.
Operation Development pilot Integrated clearings in Sakiet: This project covers the two-year period (1998-2000) and takes place in two zones (Ain Nechma and Ain Mazer) of the delegation of Sakiet Sidi Youssef. The main objective of this project is to ensure the sustainable management of forest and pastoral resources.
Integrated development project for the Takrouna forest zone: this is a partnership project between the FEM Netherlands Foundation and CRDA of Kef. It mainly concerns the protection of the environment (forest, soil) and the improvement of the living conditions of the population.
Promotion of Rural Women in the South West of Kef: a project co-financed by the European Union, lasting three years (September 2000-August 2003). The Foundation's intervention covers five delegations from the south-west of Kef
