BASSMA is a Lebanese nonprofit humanitarian organization established in 2002 (N. 178/AD), whose mission is to rehabilitate and empower the most deprived families to reach self-sufficiency.

BASSMA believes that Healthy Families are the pillars of a Healthy Society.
Every person has the right to live in dignity and deserves a chance to achieve her potential through access to Food, Water, Clothing, Education, Employment, HealthCare, Housing, Safe and Secure Environment, and Decent Living Standards.
Equipped with the proper resources, underprivileged families have the power to become self-sufficient.

OBJECTIVES
BASSMA's objective is to break the cycle of poverty by:
Consolidating and rebuilding family puzzles that were broken by poverty
Supporting and Accompanying the Elderly
Protecting abused children, women and elderly
Raising awareness among youth and local communities by involving them in Civic Engagement and Community Service projects
Our final objective is the Advancement of Lebanese Society.
