Founded in 2005, the Cultural Association Africa-Mediterranean intends to be a bridge between the cultures of the North and South. It is based in Sousse, capital of the Tunisian Sahel (140 km south of Tunis). The mission of this organization is in harmony with its geographical location. Indeed this part of the southern coast of the Mediterranean has always been a meeting point between the African empires and great Mediterranean civilizations of the Greco-Roman antiquity to the glorious Carthage through the Phoenician domination, and from . until the Muslim era and the modern era
the cultural Association Africa-Mediterranean brings together its members and friends around certain cultural and human values including: the passion for film and the arts, openness to differences of all variety, availability for exchange and dialogue, faith in culture as a factor of development and peace among peoples. Also the Action Cultural Association Africa-Mediterranean it is designed in view of these values. It is particularly directed towards the younger generations, since its main objective is to promote and strengthen dialogue and possible mixing between young people in Mediterranean countries and the African continent.
