Attac sparked the outbreak of numerous associations across
the globe. This is the case in Tunisia where, on 9 September
1999, several Tunisian citizens have deposited the statutes
of Attac Tunisia Tunis Governorate as the law of this country exigait.

This association took the name of RAID (Rally for
an International Development Alternative).

This association never obtained its validation by the Ben Ali regime, its members have suffered multiple attacks to the imprisonment of some of them.
