A foreign non-governmental organization based in the Arab Republic of Egypt permanently according to a headquarters agreement with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a member of the permanent executive office of the Forum of Arab Unions in the League of Arab States and works on:
Raise developmental and environmental awareness.
- Setting an Arab national strategy for sustainable development and environmental protection, and working to implement it.
Combating pollution in its various forms and avoiding any damages or negative effects.
Development of natural resources and preservation of biodiversity in the Arab countries.
Protecting society, human health and other living creatures from environmentally harmful acts.
Paying attention to environmental assessment and integrating environmental projects into sustainable development
It also assists the official and non-official bodies concerned with promoting Arab integration in the field of sustainable development, protecting the Arab environment, and preserving these economic wealth from waste or waste, in accordance with local legislation and international agreements in force in this regard.

The establishment of this union comes from the belief of the concerned parties in the Arab countries in the importance of preserving the Arab environment and the need to protect it from any negative effects that work to disturb the environmental balance in various aspects of life, and work to achieve the principle of environmental sustainability for the benefit of present and future generations. Membership in the Union is open. Before all bodies, institutions, associations and persons directly or indirectly concerned with sustainable development and environmental protection in the Arab world.
