The establishment of the principles of the rule of law, the independence of the judiciary and the legal profession, and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.

Special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council in 2000.

Objectives

Supporting and strengthening the independence of the judiciary and lawyers in the Arab region.
Work on the harmonization of national legislation with international conventions.
To promote natural justice in accordance with fair and fair trial standards as set out in international instruments.
Consolidation and dissemination of human rights values and principles.
Consolidation of the principles of legality and international criminal justice.
Improving the level of law teaching in the Arab region.
