About Us

Recently founded in 2014 by a group of volunteers with experience in nonprofit work. The founders created Al-Arj Association with the intent of raising awareness of issues facing marginalized communities within Jordan.

Vision

Through the creation of safe environments we will give every child the opportunity to learn.

Mission: We consider charity a fundamental aspect of community building. Creating programs that address the needs of those we serve. Al-Arj Association considers mental and physical health of children equally important. We equip children with educational and psychological support.

Programs

In partnership with World Vision, Unicef, Right to Play, Merci Corp and Jordan River Foundation each Al Arj branch provides educational programs for Jordanian youth and Syrian refugees.

Abu Naser Branch: At the Abu Naser branch, Al Arj and Jordan River Foundation emphasize children’s overall well-being as well as their academic success. We provide care and support for 250 children who are cut off from formal education.

Hay Nazzal Branch: At the Hay Nazzal branch, World Vision and Al Arj work together to train our teaching staff in addition to implementing a non-formal learning programs for 900 children.

Sweileh Branch: At the Sweileh Branch, Al-Arj and UNICEF organize girl and boy scout camps during the summer to benefit 1000 Syrian refugees.
