ACP is a cultural vocation to development association which intends to fight against all forms of poverty through wealth preservation, organization of cultural events and the promotion of art and culture for youth. It conducts various kinds of activities. They include technical and financial support to the Association of Young Musicians of Mauritania, the translation from French to Arabic of the book by Michel Guignard Music, honor and pleasure to the Sahara and participation in the traditional poetry festival in the Aioun Morocco. Despite the difficulties facing the cultural sector in Mauritania, the ACP has significant potential for the organization of festivals and home professionals and can be of great assistance to facilitate cultural exchanges.

Resources

ACP has a permanent staff, relies on its active members and often uses specialized contracting. It has new premises with a meeting room and 2 well equipped offices.

Professional Network

ACP maintains a partnership with the Centre for Studies and Research on Western Sahara (CEROS) and Civic Initiative (CCI). She is preparing for 2011 a cultural exchange program with Mali. It also has relations with Senegal, Algeria and Morocco.

Funding

ACP is supported by the Mauritanian government, the National Industrial and Mining Company (SNIM), Unesco and the Manzanar Foundation dedicated to environmental protection.
