Youth Development Department

YDD is Working to provide administrative support for youth institutions in Jerusalem governorate, building partnership and youth exchange locally, regionally and internationally, and developing programs for youth based on studies and researches relevant to their needs and phenomenon related to them in the highest quality possible to contribute in developing youth sector.

The Youth Development Department (YDD) was established in 2000 as part of the Arab Studies Society, an initiative supported by the late Faisal Husseini. YDD is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation, working alongside Community Based Organisations (CBOs) and youth institutions in Jerusalem.

We work towards developing knowledge, skills and potential in young Palestinians. YDD works as an umbrella organisation supporting local CBOs, providing them with the resources and necessary networking to help establish their projects and youth programmes.

Our aim is to have qualified young Jerusalemites who are proud of their national identity and are active participants in community development.

For fifteen years, YDD has collaborated with more than forty youth grassroots organisations in Jerusalem and has succeeded in reaching out to nearly fifteen thousand young people, helping them succeed in fulfilling their potential by providing unique opportunities
