Rotaract Club of Beirut

Rotaract is a global program set by Rotary International, first established in 1968. It had one clear mission: developing professional leaders for a better future

Rotaract constitutes service clubs for men and women aged between 18 and 30. It works on fostering leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business, and promotes international understanding among cultures.

Rotaract operates in each country under the supervision of its local Rotary Club. The word “Rotaract” takes after a combination of the words Rotary and action. It is a nonpolitical and nonreligious organization.

Today, there are more than 9,100 Rotaract clubs in more than 158 countries. The organization is based on small clubs, which can vary in size from 10 to 30 members.

Rotaract clubs conduct formal meetings weekly featuring guest speakers, tours to local businesses, cultural activities, discussions, and visits to other clubs. Rotaractors also engage in community projects, social events, and professional and leadership development workshops.
