A global foundation committed to those in need

Education Above All (EAA) is a foundation founded in 2012 by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser. Its aim is to build a global movement that contributes to human, social and economic development through the provision of quality education. With a particular focus on those affected by poverty, conflict and disaster, it champions the needs of children, youth and women to empower them to become active members of their communities.
VISION

EAA envisions bringing new life chances, real hope and opportunities to improve the lives of poor and marginalized children, youth and women especially in the developing world.
MISSION

To ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for vulnerable and marginalized people especially in the developing world, as an enabler of human development.

We are united by a shared belief that education is the key to progress and prosperity. It unlocks personal potential and encourages peace, collaboration and sustainable development. That’s why education is our first priority. We are committed to equipping children, youth and women with the tools to learn – wherever they may be.
Thinking big

The challenge is immense, but it is matched by our positivity and determination. By pooling resources, forging partnerships and sharing innovative ideas, we are making huge strides forward. During the first six months of our operation, we reached 600,000 out of school children. Today, we have commitments to enrol 10.4 million out of school children.

Our projects span primary education, access and enrolment, higher education and wider concerns such as the health, wellbeing and basic rights. These are the issues that will support human development and offer people in need a chance to build a brighter future.
Our foundation and aim

Based in Doha, Qatar, Education Above All Foundation was founded by official decision on 17 October 2012. Our aim is to build a global movement that contributes to human, social and economic development through quality education and other welfare programmes and initiatives. With a particular focus on areas affected by poverty, conflict and disaster, we will champion the needs of children and women and empower them to be active members of their communities. By meeting the demand for education, we will equip them to support sustainable development and to nurture environments of peace, security, justice and prosperity.
