Wedia aims at training and coaching staff and volunteers from civil society organizations in maximizing the effective use of social media platforms, specifically Facebook, to generate support for their activities and mission.

Wedia’s approach begins with technical support that includes a basic overhaul of existing Facebook pages/groups, or the establishment of an online presence on the social network for organizations that do not currently have a Facebook page. Once this is done, training and
coaching will begin as owners/staff are introduced to different topics and gradually take on additional responsibilities. By the end of every project, apprentices will have the knowledge, skills and tools to fully manage their Facebook pages based on the best practices and social media techniques introduced by Wedia.
