By connecting with governmental organizations, community stakeholders, and other NGOs, and with a strong belief that education is crucial for social and economic development, Teach a Child acts to:

Remove financial barriers for underprivileged children and give them access to education.
Serve all the children in Lebanon without discriminating against gender, religion, or academic performance.
Provide access to higher education, university and vocational.
Enhance the experience of children in public schools by improving school infrastructure, equipment, and information technology.
Lobby for the effective implementation of the law on compulsory education.

Lebanon is a country with great needs. Many families fail to send their children to school because of the financial expenses associated with education.

in a public schools there are fees for registration, parents' committee, books, stationary, uniform and transportation. Many families especially those with more than one child, find this financial burden too heavy.

Teach a child reaches to families where the bread winner is a daily worker with unstable income, an employee with a minimum wage, is unemployed for sickness or incapability, or is deceased.

By covering all expenses related to education, Teach a child ensures that all children of families in need are enrolled at school and commits to supporting their education until they finish their schooling, including High School, Vocational School and Univerisity.

Every child has The Right for Education

Another Teach a Child major concerns is street children. Unfortunately, the law in Lebanon about compulsory education for children under 15 does not penalize parents for not sending their children to school and this is the root of the problem.

Teach a Child lobbies members of parliament and ministers to enact more effective laws so that education becomes free, compulsory and imposed on every child in Lebanon.
