The Small Enterprise Center (SEC) – Palestine was established in June 2003 within the context of a technical assistance project, financed and implemented by German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) development in Palestine. In February 2008, SEC was officially registered as an independent, non-profit organization with legal status granted by the National Palestinian Authorities with demonstrated capacity to comply with all applicable administrative legal requirements and fiscal regulations, pursuant to the Law of Charitable Associations and Community Organizations No.1 for the year 2000.
The Small Enterprise Center (SEC) aims at facilitating solutions in the development of start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) towards increasing their potentials for growth and sustainability.
SEC’s main essential objective is to contribute to the development of the Palestinian private sector through enhancing the productivity and efficiency of micro and small enterprises which comprise the vast majority of all Palestinian business entities. The center’s activities, accordingly, focus on the provision and promotion of technical, informational and referral services for existing and potential SMEs.
