Sawa – All the women together today and tomorrow
JERUSALEM – concluded “Sawa” Foundation series of awareness meetings on combating violence against women and children, in the lights of Jerusalem College, with the participation of a number of Almekdsaat women, within the project of the advancement of women ‘s rights and children marginalized Palestinians in East Jerusalem.
The project also aims to improve the living conditions of vulnerable and marginalized groups, through them aware of the fight against violence in all its forms, what contributes to the promotion of human rights in Jerusalem and its environs.
The meetings covered a range of topics including, the teenage generation, and forms of violence, sexual abuse within the family, against women and children, cyberbullying.
He said the legal adviser to the Foundation, “Sawa” lawyer Jalal Khader, that through these meetings, the Foundation works to give area women for unloading and self-expression in and out of the psychological pressures that received them, as well as to promote and support capabilities, including the themes of violence based on gender, and enable them to transfer this experience to other women within the environment in which they live.
In closing the meeting , they expressed their happiness Posts encounters , and the extent to which who received it, except for it helped women to expression and participation, in addition to increasing culture to have matters related to the daily lives of sound and relationships with their children and their families.
The project is implemented the advancement of women’s rights and children marginalized Palestinians in East Jerusalem, with funding from the European Union and under the supervision of the German Foundation “Heinrich but,” in partnership and coordination with four institutions (the Arab Center for Agricultural Development “ACAD”, Technical and laboratory “Art Lab”, and the institutions the right to play, and the war and the child “Holland”).
