Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) or Qatar Development Fund (QFD) aims to help the Arab countries and other developing countries in developing their economies and implements development programs, by providing loans, grants and technical assistance to these countries or legal institutions following them or holding their nationality, and that contribute to the economic and social development of these countries.

As a a Qatari public institution in charge with coordinating and implementing external development assistance projects on behalf of the State of Qatar under Law No. 19 of 2002 and its amendments, the Fund has provided assistance to many countries around the world in line with the objectives of international cooperation in the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Qatar Development Fund contributing to the capital of development finance institutions and other international and foreign development institutions that aim at helping developing countries in the development of their economies and representing the State of Qatar in such institutions.

QDF is a public development institution committed, on behalf of the State of Qatar, to improving the livelihood of communities around the world by:

Providing financial tools to developing countries in the Arab and Muslim world and beyond for responsive and effective humanitarian and development aid.
Empowering populations through the promotion of education, healthcare, social services, infrastructure and economic development.

QFFD's strategy is in line with the objectives of United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. The most important Sustainable Development Goals of the Fund:
• Goal 4: "Ensuring fair and inclusive education for all and enhancing lifelong learning opportunities for all".
• Goal 3: "Ensure that all people enjoy healthy and well-being for all ages."
• Goal 8: "Promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all".

The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) is collaborating with many actors and experts in development, in the framework of multisectoral partnerships to achieve the goals of sustainable development. QFFD has built a wide network of strategic partners at the national level, including national NGOs, Qatari government agencies and the private sector, as well as internationally through partnerships with UN organizations, international institutions and development funds.

The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) is committed to providing foreign assistance through a wide range of financial instruments including grants, soft loans, commercial loans, guarantees and development investments. These are implemented through bilateral and multilateral agreements and in accordance with best practice and professional standards.
