It was his keenness to develop the services provided to slice the disabled and maintaining , and motivate them to excel and creativity, and faith full Highness that the family is the foundation of society, drew his creation of an association to represent the people with disabilities, and was the founding Assembly in 1996 represented the Association residents with disabilities to be the first civil institution at the level of the Gulf cooperation Council (GCC).
To keep pace with their counterparts in the world and to achieve their aims and that Petkatvha with various institutions and organizations working in the community to support and protect the disabled and the preservation of their rights was growing up thanks to the unlimited support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed and prefer to accept the honorary presidency of the Association
Presidency of His Highness was not a pattern formally a ceremonial in nature, but that the directives of the permanent Prince was the main motivation to get the Assembly to the official publicity from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to be the scope of work of the United Arab Emirates, based on the Ministerial Decree No. (450) for the year 1999
