The Palestinian Human Rights foundation (Monitor) is a non-governmental and non-political, non-profitable foundation, and with complete independence. It was created in early 2006 by a group of activists in the field of human rights and refugee issues, with a view teach the principles of human rights and defend them and the refugee issues.

WHO WE ARE

We ordinary citizens believe deeply in the cause of human rights and the pursuit of justice and equality, and more than our members are activists who are dedicated to work in the Palestinian Society for Human Rights (Monitor) in the Middle East and North Africa and in several countries around the world, our mouth, lawyers, journalists, professors, specialists experts in human rights issues international law and some of them believe in freedom of speech, equality between people of different nationalities and backgrounds. And often we join forces to human rights groups in other countries efforts in support of our common goals. There is a growing circle of volunteers who support our efforts.

The Palestinian Society for Human Rights (Monitor) is a regional association, a non-governmental, non-political, non-partisan, non-profit and enjoys complete independence, was founded in early 2006 by a group of activists in the field of human rights and refugee issues, in order to spread and teach the principles of human rights and defend and refugee issues.

We seek to achieve our goals through three main areas:

1. monitor and document human rights violations.

2. teaching and spreading the principles of human rights.

3. research and studies.

4. vocational training and intellectual development

In Lebanon :

Assembly is working to raise the level of awareness of the culture of human rights, as well as to deepen the concept of civil society in the Palestinian refugees, it is also its efforts towards the definition of all the Lebanese parties by the conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, the life, and a culture of constructive dialogue in order to activate the process of communication and build bridges in order to bridge the gap between the Lebanese and Palestinian societies.

On the other hand Assembly supports the inclusion of the principles and concepts of human rights as contained in international laws and conventions within the framework of Lebanese law, especially that Lebanon has signed most of the international conventions and treaties, which established these principles and emphasized the importance of respecting them, guaranteeing civil rights, political, economic, social and cultural refugees Palestinians in Lebanon until they return to their homes, which they were expelled by the Israeli occupation, in implementation of UN resolution 194, stressing in this regard the need for the work of the international community to compel "Israel" to respect and implement the United Nations resolutions.

Vocational training and intellectual development:

The Society in Lebanon implementation workshops, free training workshop for the training of professional and intellectual development of young people and in all the Palestinian camps.

On the Arab and international levels:

The association circulate the organic opportunities in the Assembly on the Arab and international levels, bringing its members and coordinators two years in several Arab and European countries they represented the Assembly and its name are active in their location within the Assembly Law and the articles of association group.

Key areas:

1. monitor and document human rights violations

This program consists of two parts are:

• Monitoring and Documentation Division
• international monitoring of the human rights department
• Department of the Palestine International Observatory

And through international monitoring of the human rights department, take this section it upon himself to monitor countries that violate its own laws and international conventions and practice violations of their humanity, where they are documented and included in the annual report, which will include several countries, so as to expose these violations and put it in front of the international community, asking them to pressure on these countries to respect the rule of law and the failure to adopt dictatorial methods in order to rise to a peaceful civil civilized society based on respect for international laws and conventions.

Palestine International Observatory section, this section to monitor all violations affecting Palestinian human rights wherever they are the beginning of the occupied Palestinian territories to the diaspora Palestinian communities camps in the host countries for the refugees Palestinians, as this section is also based networking with all the Palestinian institutions and communities across the land trading and providing joint reports on the life and the development of Palestinian human rights and the suffering of the educational problems, social, humanitarian.

2. teaching and spreading the principles of human rights

Attending the Assembly and implement training activities in the field of human rights culture, and often these are activities in cooperation with local associations and organizations, regional and international dedicated to the defense of human rights and issues of Refugees, and the focus of these activities and training sessions on:

1. Raising awareness in the field of: human rights, the rights of refugees, the rights of women, children and the disabled, racial discrimination.

2. Culture of Peace: the principles of dialogue, acceptance of others, conflict resolution and do not recur and the rejection of the death penalty.

3. democratic means of good governance: the Constitution and laws (the election, work, own property ...), public service, public order and how to fight corruption.

4. Ways peaceful and legal civil struggle: the United Nations mechanisms and the European Union to protect, manage and organize the logistical work and advocacy campaigns.

5. Training of Trainers: enhance the skills and abilities of trainers in raising awareness on human rights, a culture of peace, democratic means of good governance, peaceful and legal ways of civil struggle, logistical work and advocacy.

6. training and educational sessions on: the concept of agreements and protocols and international instruments, particularly the Geneva Conventions and the Barcelona Declaration and the resolutions contained in the United Nations General Assembly.

3. Research and Studies

The Assembly of the making of studies and implementation of research in the relevant legal by circumstances areas, social and economic Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, and is performed this research through fact-field facts and conducting interviews with various activists "individuals or groups" in the Lebanese and Palestinian society so they can be later to analyze the results of these research in order to assist in the formulation of strategies Assembly on the one hand and the development priorities of its work on the other hand, in addition to raising the knowledge of the conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and in the Palestinian territories and Palestinian communities in the host country level.

1. Central Information Department: In view of what the media's role in disseminating and educating citizens, the media division is the mouthpiece of the Assembly in all forums and media outlets, where this section to publish all Media Association's activities and dialogues, seminars and conferences that deal with human rights and the violation of these rights on all levels audio and video, and work on a newsletter for the association.

2. The rights of women and children's section: This section takes attention to cases relating to the affairs of women and children as stipulated in international conventions, as this section is working to activate the participation of women in public life, in application of the concept of equality between men and women (gender), this section adopts a rejection of all forms of violence and discrimination against women and children by setting up seminars and workshops in this regard.

3. Department of Alagaih and rights of the disabled: at the level of aid in case of emergency this section is to provide humanitarian aid to the displaced and affected by the wars in collaboration with civil and social organizations working in the humanitarian field. And the rights of the disabled terms of this section works to defend the rights of the disabled and to work for their access to employment opportunities equal and life quality and a culture of integration and the right of participation of the disabled in society and put disability issues as an integral part of human rights in accordance with international laws and conventions.

4. Social Affairs Section: This section is investigating the humanitarian and social situations and work to help these cases in cooperation and coordination with social and health institutions and associations.

5. Department of Environment: What is the right environment in certain countries in which fought wars and armed conflicts of the harm it has necessitated the creation of a mechanism to bring life to the environment, so it has been the formation of this section which will make statements in situ on the damage to the ecological life terms in several environmental research concerning pollutants to water, soil and air and its effects on human life and the establishment of sessions and educational workshops for all segments of society in order to guide the process of environmental education and community awareness of how to prevent Ancharalobih and communicable diseases.

Objectives of the association - The objectives of Assembly:

1. support and defend the rights of marginalized groups in Lebanon through the provision of assistance and advice on all the possible ways we have.

2. spread awareness and a culture of human rights, particularly (the rights of children, women, refugees, disabled etc ...) and to devote and deepen the democratic understanding and awareness of society, particularly the People's marginalized social, economic, cultural and political rights, citizenship and all the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and international conventions and laws.

3. Support the universal principles of human rights as entrenched in all international conventions on human rights, as contained in the Barcelona Declaration and all international conventions and protocols and instruments in the principles of the United Nations General Assembly and to promote these principles among public opinion in all the Palestinian camps and gatherings in all countries Geneva Convention that activates members of the Assembly on its soil.

4. promote, support and coordination of the association members and individual members efforts in the field of human rights and advocate for the rule of law, human rights, equality between men and women, and the education of human rights and defend the principles, and the defense of freedom of opinion and expression and freedom of speech and the formation of a unified platform for all associate members of the Association around the world particularly in the occupied Palestinian territories and in the Palestinian camps and Altjmaaat in the host countries of Palestinian refugees in the world.
