Also known as Fattal Foundation, we contribute financially in granting as many Lebanese students as possible, better access to education and quality learning.

We contribute financially in granting as many Lebanese students as possible, better access to education and quality learning. As we strive to reduce generational cycles of poverty by giving pupils and students equal access to education, we help children become active members of the society.

Our Lady Of Hope Foundation is a nonprofit organization recognized by the Ministry of Interior under the notice No. 145/ad dated October 8th, 1987 and declared of public interest on January 30th, 1996 by presidential decree No. 7896.

> FOCUS: Because 15% of the poor are illiterate, 44% reach elementary level schooling, and 3% reach a university level, we focus on schools (elementary and intermediate grades), in order to reduce drop-out levels and ensure pupils continue their education.

> FINANCIAL AIDS: We grant financial aids to pupils in need because the cost of schooling in Lebanon is the number one financial burden on most households, resulting in alarming rates of poor quality education, school drop-outs and in some cases, no schooling at all.

> REACH: Lebanon is characterized by regional disparities in educational attainment depending on the social and economic development of the region. This is where we act. We give grants to students all over the Lebanese territory with recently (since 2012) a deeper reach of the most remote and deprived areas.

> TYPE OF SCHOOLS: Due to deficiencies in the public schooling system, children with low income parents are denied quality education or excluded totally from schooling. We focus on private schools as we believe that besides helping in educational attainment, teaching quality is a top priority. Throughout the last 10 years, we reached out to nearly 275 different private schools across Lebanon.

> GRANTS: We assess carefully the financial condition of each and every pupil proposed to us with the help of social workers as well as third party institutions such as AVSI. We give around 600 grants each year, many of which repeatedly over 4 or 5 consecutive years until we make sure risks of drop-out have considerably declined. Starting 2012, we increased the value of the grants by 25% without reducing their number.

> FUNDRAISING: 50% of funds are raised through Fattal local and regional companies as part of the Group commitment to give back to the community. 20% of funds are raised through Our Lady of Hope Foundation board members, Fattal family members, Fattal employees and independent donors. 30% of funds are raised through social activities typically the yearly gala spectacle that takes places at UNESCO Palace with the generous collaboration of the Ministry of Culture. Fattal customers, suppliers, employees as well as other stakeholders and friends contribute in raising funds throughout this yearly event. In this respect, Our Lady of Hope Foundation hosts Lebanon’s most prominent artists who regularly support the Fattal foundation by giving concerts and/or recitals. We proudy cite Assi El Hallani, Elias Rahbani, Haifa Wehbe, Majida El Roumi, Nancy Ajram, the Comedy Night Show, the Four Musketeers and many others.
