Activating, encouraging and publishing scientific research in order to contribute the socio-economic development activities in Oman. Cooperating with the government and private agencies concerned with economic development, provision of experts and stating opinions in economic matters if asked. Strengthening the relations and enhancing the scientific and technical cooperation between economists in the Sultanate and their colleagues in the Arab countries and the rest of the world. Contributing in organizing the basis of the economic consultancy profession and raising its standard in cooperation with the other concerned authorities.
