The NGO Service Center (NGO SC) in Egypt is a developmental activity aiming to increase the participation of citizens, through Nongovernmental Organizations (NGOs), in development decision-making. The Center is sponsored by the Egyptian Ministry of Insurance and Social Affairs (MISA), and is funded for five years by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This year, the Center is transitioning into the Egyptian NGO Support Center that will continue to offer services and strengthen the capacity of the NGO sector throughout Egypt. In the interim, Save the Children/US manages the Center in partnership with America’s Development Foundation (ADF) and Infonex Corporation, under the guidance of an inter-governmental Steering Committee and an NGO Advisory Board.
