Majid Society for Community Development

Vision

The Society of Majid Bin Abdulaziz for Development and Social Services, or Majid Society for short, aims to become a pioneer in building a sustainable development system through the exchange of experience and the application of mechanisms for empowering individuals within their communities in Saudi Arabia.

Objectives

  • Leadership in Promoting the concept of sustainable development, through excellence in attracting and engaging stakeholders
  • Leading in Developing and implementing effective sustainable development programs through excellence in transforming projects from relief to empowerment
  • Lead in Performance methodology and evaluation criteria, through excellence in application of sustainable development practices at multiple levels of the association
  • Leadership in Sustainable contribution to GDP, through excellence in making the individual a productive element within the community

1419H / 1998G was founded at the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Majid bin Abdul Aziz, “May God have mercy on him” under the name of Makkah Association for Development and Social Services.
The year 2000 was registered in the register of charitable societies in the Ministry of Social Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under No. 174.
In 2006, the name was changed to the Majid Bin Abdulaziz Society for Development and Social Services. This is a re-starting stage in all aspects of organization, business management and project implementation.
In 1435 H / 2014 was renewed identity to operate in the name of: Majid Society (Community Development) headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
