Maarouf Saad Social and Cultural Foundation

Following the life-spirit of its namesake, the Maarouf Saad Social and Cultural Foundation (MSSCF) was founded in Saida in 1980 to provide educational, health, and social services to all under-privileged communities. Operating without discrimination and with special attention to vulnerable groups, the organization strives to spread human and citizenship rights awareness within the communities it services. In addition to running two primary schools, three primary healthcare units and one community out-reach center, MSSCF creates social development programs in partnership with the local community, encouraging their participation through initiatives tailored to their needs. These include healthcare, community awareness and social assistance programs, as well as children’s summer activities. In addition to its own initiatives, the organization networks with national, regional and international organizations, both official and non-governmental, to meet its objectives and the needs of its target population.
