In the current Middle East regional non-stop geopolitical crises, Palestinian children live under sever psycho-social pressure that impact children development and growth. In these circumstances, if basic children rights and needs are not respected, all kinds of traumas will hit them; their sequels will travel with them to their future… EJE's many projects are aimed to contribute to the improvement of the psycho-social well-being and educational environment of the most vulnerable part of Palestinian community - the children. Through the many activities EJE promotes personal development of each child to become a responsible individual taking an active role in society. EJE's main goal is to help Palestinian children grow up in humanity.

Children, Play and Education (EJE abbreviations in French) is an association that is based on respect for human rights and especially children's rights. Deeply convinced that every child on this planet without exception has the right to grow in dignity, EJE has a mission to grow the children of Palestine in humanity.
The educational entertainment is the central axis selected by ECE for the implementation of the project.

Each year EJE details or adapts its educational project as required related to changing ground realities - by the policy of occupation of Palestinian territories, and by new problems of society.

Each child is a unique person

EJE consider each child as a whole person, respected in its own development. No children living any day, innocuous or anonymous; everyone deserves to be considered as worthy of what he is, what he becomes. Everyone is called to be revealed in his personal vocation, to develop their creativity, to give the best of himself. EJE educates enlightenment and respect for the conscience of the self and others. Because each, each, regardless of age, is unique.

Benchmarks to be built at their own pace

For ECE, education is non-competitive, without judgment or notation in a playful world. To grow at your own pace, because at each character, intelligence, health, abilities, difficulties, skills and interests.

Girls and boys without discrimination

The wealth of humanity is rooted in the home of the difference between boys and girls, men and women: our educational project respects the identity of each, children, or adults, and promotes mutual respect. In the field of education, EJE opted for a mix based on equality. The pedagogy takes into account the differences between boys and girls, including compliance with stages of maturity, centers of interest, and each of the operating modes. The differences are educational levers and without being erased, they turn into strengths.

The opening of the communities

EJE offers apprenticeship places of social life: leaving each place, they offer live with others. These are personal construction sites because the person is not built without relation to each other. Open to all, regardless of culture, creed or social origin, they are open communities for the promotion of open communities. The centers allow children to learn life together in a democratic manner: everyone is consulted, invited to speak, to express its views in respect of others. This is one of the pillars for a more just and democratic society, to improve the daily in the broader context of lawlessness that Palestinians live under occupation.

A universal vision

EJE adheres to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in particular to the Convention of 1989 Child Rights, believes in its universal dimension, and work for their defense. More than leisure activities, EJE offers the game as a vehicle for a meaningful engagement. Be responsible and act with adults and professionals to our children is personally choose what kind of world we want to live. We invite young people to become global citizens, caring and responsible, convinced that this world is changing and can be changed, it can become fairer, more fraternal, less violent and less generator exclusions.
