Details

Founded in 2015, LSR is a non-political and non-confessional organization committed to empower youth and advocate social responsibility among all Lebanese citizens. Our Vision is a healthy, productive and engaged community through its youth, empowered to create a positive future. We aim to empower our youth and encourage them to become actively involved in their community.
LSR’s mission is to:
1. Ensure protection and provide assistance to vulnerable populations through sustainable solutions.
2. Contribute to developing society through advocating, supporting and empowering its youth.
3. Enhance national and local capacities by empowering them to create lasting change in their own lives and communities.
Lebanese Social Responsibility is located in two regions (Mount-Lebanon and Beirut) and is currently operating in Mount-Lebanon, mainly in Jbeil District and its surrounding areas. LSR, a volunteer-based initiative, aims to not only support local entities (municipalities, local public and private institutions etc.) but also empower youth, increase their skills and abilities, and encourage them to become actively involved in their community via social, cultural, educational and ecological activities. Promoting a sense of community within our institution is a cornerstone of LSR’s approach. Its Amchit office includes an outdoor child-friendly space and an in-door space for young volunteers to meet, study, work and socialize. LSR has intervened in the fields of local development, education, protection and community support. It is through regular assessment of the community’s needs that LSR is able to upgrade its activities and intervention sectors. It has mainly operated to provide support to families and communities (from food parcels, clothes, medical assistance, hygiene kits and others), activate the role of youth in the humanitarian sector through social, cultural and ecological events (Sports tournaments, afforestation campaigns, ecotourism, beach clean-ups, capacity building trainings etc.) carry out psychological and social support activities (psychosocial support, awareness sessions, arts and crafts etc.) in Lebanon in collaboration with national and international NGOs, Public and Private Institutions. We collaborated with several actors by providing technical expertise (through our personnel) and human resources (through our 220 volunteers and community members).
