League for Lebanese Women’s Rights is a feminine non-profit democratic and secular organization founded in 1947 and based on volunteers with several branches in different regions in Lebanon.
The league works for:
- The League for Lebanese Women’s Rights works to achieve the complete citizenship
- Protecting the sovereignty and independence of Lebanon
- To reinforce the democracy and the public liberties
- Aiming towards a secular and non-confessional society
- Innovating a discretionary civil legislation for personal status issues
- Enabling women to reach decision making political positions
- Developing the role of women in production
- Achieving factual equality between women and men
- Implementing the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW)
- Creating a unified and active women’s movement
- Activating the role of Lebanese youths in society and stopping immigration
- Implementing all articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child
- Protecting the environment
