Kuwait Society for Preventing Smoking and Cancer (KSSCP) promote awareness of the dangers of smoking tobacco to protect the citizens, especially children and the elderly from being exposed to this dangerous epidemic. Besides this governmental effort, the efforts of the people play a great role in fighting smoking. The establishment of KSSCP helped influence the issuing of law No. 15 in 1995, concerning anti-smoking. It assures the cooperation efforts of all parties concerned to limit the spread of this cursed epidemic. In 1996, KSSCP became full UICC member.
