1993 Jordan draws up first National Strategy for Women.
1994 JNCW conducts comprehensive studies and assessments of women-related legislation to determine areas of concern and amendment priorities.
1995  JNCW is designated to officially represent Jordan at the Women's Fourth World Conference in Beijing;
Under auspices of JNCW, a large delegation of women's organizations participates in NGO forum in preparation for Beijing conference.

1996  JNCW is designated by the Cabinet as the authority on women's issues and, in this regard, should be consulted by all official parties before any related actions or decisions are taken.
JNCW, along with government organizations and NGO's, drafts Programme of Action detailing specific projects to be taken up in the private and public sector.

1997 The Higher Women's Commission for Elections is formed with a mandate to support all women candidates and raise public awareness regarding the importance of having women in parliament.
1998 JNCW decides to move away from traditional planning by mainstreaming gender issues into the Economic & Social Development Plan (1999-2003).
1999 The collective process of updating the National Strategy for Women begins.
2000 JNCW presents CEDAW report to the United Nations' CEDAW Committee.
2001 JNCW forms committee to plan and coordinate all activities regarding women's participation in 2002 parliamentary elections.
