We are an international community of full-time and volunteers, donors and sponsors who si ch in the service of helping people through their means, skills and gifts that are in need by disasters or structural poverty. We see ourselves as intermediary between the person concerned and helpful people and institutions by making us aware of specific emergencies, mobilize resources and provide effective and efficient assistance.
humedica, founded in 1979 and situated in Kaufbeuren (Bavaria), is an international non-governmental organisation, which provides humanitarian assistance in more than 90 countries. humedica aims to help people, who suffer hardship due to disasters or structural poverty.
Besides its focus on emergency and disaster relief humedica also engages in relief supply assistance, family sponsorships as well as in long-term projects of development cooperation. This work is rendered possible thanks to the support of voluntary rescue teams as well as local partner organisations and employees in the respective project countries.
