The European Centre for Democracy and Human Rights (ECDHR) is the Brussels-based European representation of a coalition of three NGOs, namely Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB), the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR), and the Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy (BIRD).

These three organizations, jointly represented by ECDHR, seek to foster awareness and promote human rights issues and democracy in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the larger Gulf Region.

ECDHR is also involved with the work of Defenders for Medical Impartiality, an international NGO working to ensure that noninterference with medical services during armed conflict or civil unrest is protected. In Bahrain and in the CGG region, health workers often face detentions and reprisals simply for peacefully exercising their duties and providing medical assistance to those in need.
