EpiscoCare was established in 2003 in Cairo, Egypt, as a legal (Non-Governmental Organisation or NGO) body working under the umbrella of the Episcopal/Anglican Diocese of Egypt.

EpiscoCare expanded on the diocese’s existing development efforts and now offers comprehensive programming through six local community development centres. Four are located in urban areas within Cairo: Boulaq, Ain Shams, Medinet El Salam and Ezbet El Nakhl. One centre is located in Menouf City about 90 km north-west of Cairo and one centre in El Ras El Soda, a poor suburb 10 km south of Alexandria.

EpiscoCare’s Vision is to provide better life opportunities for the poorest and most marginalized communities in Egypt.

Our Mission
To work as the arm of the Good Samaritan to support target communities to obtain basic rights through quality development and educational programmes in cooperation with governmental and non-governmental organisations in the community.
