As part of the implementation of its tasks, the National Statistics System ensures:
Collect data from households, businesses, governments and all other units that may be a statistical survey and ensure the processing and recording of data. In this context, the National System of Statistics conducts the classification of statistics by the required criteria including by gender and geographical distribution.
Publish and disseminate statistical information to all public and private users while ensuring its development through the use of new information and communications technology. Users may be required in some cases, to pay a contribution to the collection and dissemination costs.
Develop based on the statistical information available, preliminary analyzes related to different areas related to development.
Coordinate the activities of different structures and agencies of statistics, statistics program activities. Define the concepts, classifications and standards and adopt statistical methods in force internationally.
Organize consultation between producers and users of statistical information to meet the data requirements and to ensure the availability of statistics requested.
Provide initial and ongoing training of staff working in the field of statistics, the promotion of research and dissemination of statistical literacy.
