Enduring Mission and Distinguished History

From its beginning as the “Collège Libanais” in 1949, to the new millennium as “Centre Hospitalier Beit Chabab”, the Lebanese College has been fully committed to its community.

In 1949, the Lebanese Maronite Order (OLM) built a school in Beit Chabab called the Lebanese College aiming to accommodate the largest number of students, especially the children of Lebanese immigrants in Africa. During the Civil War in 1976, the Maronite Lebanese Order, transformed the Lebanese College of Beit Chabab into a hospital for the handicapped that were injured during the war, where it was renamed to be "Collège du Liban pour les Handicapés”. A project to establish a complete hospital was initiated in 2001 by the management of Beit Chabab Hospital supported by the OLM with a mission to:

Provide the best specialized care for the entire population that meet the highest standards and contribute to the health and well-being of the patients.
Evaluate and improve health intervention methods.
Support physically and psychologically the community.

Currently, it’s called “Centre Hospitalier Beit Chabab”. It is a wide-ranging health facility for short, medium and long stay care. It offers its patients a variety of high quality healthcare services in a caring and welcoming environment complying with the requirements and quality standards of the medical, technological and hospital services.
