The ASM Gafsa was founded in July 1988. Its purpose is to showcase the city, the medina and the historic oasis of Gafsa. This requires social, economic, cultural and environmental development of the city.
Objectives of the Association
- Development and enhancement of the city and the historic center of Gafsa and its historic oasis;
- preservation of historical and cultural heritage of the city of Gafsa;
- establishment of mechanisms that can lead to social progress, cultural, economic and health of the population of the town of Gafsa;
- promoting actions for the protection of the environment and nature;
- promoting exchanges, cooperation and partnership with government agencies, social and economic actors, civil society and NGOs at national and international levels;
- collection and dissemination of information about the city of Gafsa.
