The Touiza Voluntary Association of the Wilaya of Algiers was set up in November 1993 (exactly on 11 November 1993), with the aim of promoting volunteerism in all its forms, participation in actions to protect the environment, Environment and sustainable development.
Promoting voluntary action in Touiza:

- Fight against social evils
- Participation in environmental protection actions
- Eco-Citizenship
- Exchanges of experiences, skills and ideas
- Developing active citizenship for young people
- Fostering mutual understanding among young people, dialogue, tolerance and peace
- Rediscovering the riches and virtues of manual hand-made crafts & art
- Promote the good will, the spirit of imagination and creativity in young people
- Fight against social taboos (drugs, AIDS …)
- Human rights awareness
