Al-Maqdese for Society Development (MSD) is a social, civic, non-profit and non-governmental organization established in Jerusalem in February 2007 as an initiative by academics, doctors, teachers and social activists. MSD came as a reaction and response to much pressuring needs and challenges in Jerusalem. Accordingly, MSD was a reaction to the daily violations of the Palestinians’ huma…n rights in Jerusalem.
Vision:
Palestinians in East Jerusalem enjoy all of their political, social, economic and cultural rights.
Mission:
To maintain the Palestinians existence and steadiness in Jerusalem through raising their awareness of their rights, protect these rights, monitor, document and publicize the Israeli violations against them, besides, advocacy and lobbying to protect them.
Strategic goals:
1.Defend and protect Palestinians rights in the occupied Jerusalem.
2.Raise Palestinians awareness of their rights and the International Humanitarian Law.
3.Provide Palestinians neighborhoods in East Jerusalem with urban plans.
4.Continue in improving the organization capacities and abilities to achieve its goals, purpose, mission and vision
